So I watched the Milo documentary that I stayed up late to download: “What Makes Milo Fly?”
And oh my friends, it was GLORIOUS STUFF. The music was suitably dramatic and cheesy, the narrator had a British accent, and Milo’s quadriceps were very defined. Hee hee hee.

Recently, International Gymnast referred to Fabian Hambuechen (GER) as an “ambassador” of the sport of gymnastics. Which is very nice and all.
On the women’s side, however, I would nominate Verona van de Leur (NED).
She’s been Dutch national champion three times, and has had impressive results at the European Championships.

North Korea has a bad habit of screwing up their gymnast’s birthdays. Oh dear me, whatever shall we do. [/sarcasm] And since 1991 world champion Kim Gwang Suk (the poor thing was losing her baby teeth in Barcelona!), they haven’t gotten much better. Pooh.

The USA has a gaping dearth in uneven bars, even though Nastia is one of the best bars workers in the world. Uneven bars was one of the events the USA could pack all the points in, and it still is, given the more generous scoring (as it appears to me).

I was pleasantly surprised to receive a copy of International Gymnast magazine today, thanks to my roommate, who knows that I am “obsessed with gymnastics”.
