Amber Trani, formerly of the dreaded Parkettes, now has a blog of sorts on the UGA gymnastics website as she is one of the most touted 2008 freshmen. While everyone shakes their head over the fact that she didn’t learn a Yurchenko 1.0 twist before a Yurchenko 2.0 twist (seriously?), in the journal(s) she details her experiences at UGA, or lack thereof.
In her latest one, she interviews Courtney Kupets. THE KUPETS IS BACK, HOMG HOMG HOMG. I AM SO EXCITED. Just when I think I can’t love the Kupets anymore, she goes and does things LIKE MAKING AMBER FILL OUT A QUIZ and then FILLING IT OUT HERSELF.
If I wasn’t a Gym Dog I would most likely be…
a) A waitress b) A basketball player c) A princess d) A coach e) Other:CK: Wait a minute, I am already a princess! So I’d probably be a basketball player
Courtney, it’s “If I weren’t a Gym Dog”. Besides that, YOU ARE SO AWESOME. Not to mention that you are greatly quotable:
I think I’ve had a great career and I love gymnastics. I’m glad that after getting hurt last year, I can come back for one more year. I’m thankful God has given me another year. No sad feelings or extra pressures because it’s just about the sport, not where you end up.
After all that Verona Van de Leur brouhaha, it’s nice and easy on the eyes to read about Courtney Kupets. Seriously, she’s just what the sport needs more of.
Okay, fangirl mode off. Sorry about that.
