I’ve only heard this today. Is it true?
The circumstances, whatever they may be, are saddening, given Shantessa Pama’s popularity among gymnastics fans (I was never a fan of her myself, but still). There was hope that she might return to elite competition after Beijing, or compete for an NCAA power.

Apparently after Sandra Izbasa won her Olympic title, our dear Cata has been going around trying to belittle Sandra’s gold-medal performance.
You’d think Cata would be happy that Sandra kept up the Romanian legacy - but naaawwww.
