For those of you who are still holding out hope (like me) that Cerasela Pătraşcu and/or Daniela Druncea will make the Romanian Olympic team despite having been left off in the nominative roster, you must wait until July 21 (next Monday) when they will announce the finalized team. But if Cera were to make the team, that means Andreea Grigore could get bumped, or even Ana-Maria Tămârjan if her injury doesn’t heal up.
The finalized Chinese Olympic team will probably be announced later that same week, as well. I have said it once and I’ll say it again, if I had my druthers I’d put He Ning in over Deng Linlin, even if Deng is a better strategic choice (on paper)–since I am not an expert, I do not base my preferences on strategy.
