The nominative roster for Team China, according to Gymnicestics:
Cheng Fei
Li Shanshan
Yang Yilin
Jiang Yuyuan
He Kexin
Deng Linlin
Alternates: Xiao Sha, He Ning, Sui Lu
WTF.
Damn it, I wanted He Ning on the team! BOO!

Well, we know where the gold medal on bars is going now…to someone that is questionably faking her age. Yay.
I can’t believe that He Kexin is going to be allowed to compete with all of the age controversy. That is ridiculous.
Don’t you think it’s ironic that He Kexin’s birthday is listed as 1 January, 1992? It’s like the Chinese Federation said “which year does she need to be born in to compete” and then picked the first day of that year! What are the odds?
why is everyone so pissed off? i mean, its not proven that shes underage. Most of the girls on the chinese team look like they’re 5 and if she was actually underage and was able to win a medal doesn’t that just make it all the more amazing?
Zoe, January first while it’s the first day for the rest of the world, it’s not in Chinese culture. That day fluctuates due to lunar calendar
Who cares about the age in the first place? The way I see it if you’re the best in the world at any age then by all means you should be allowed to compete with the best at the Olympics. She may never get another opportunity to do so, the way our sport has (d)evolved, and we may never have the chance to see the brilliance that could be. Bring it on!
I’ll only believe that He Kexin is underage until a hard evidence has been presented.
The Chinese, especially the girls, tend to look a lot younger than their actual age. He Kexin could turn 25 and either grow out of her young look or still look like a teenager.
To me, Li Ya in Athens actually looks younger than He Kexin.
