WHAT! No Cerasela Pătraşcu? If she hasn’t healed fully yet that would be reasonable, but I’ve been hearing differing reports on her situation. Apparently the Romanians think that her bars score can be replaced with Ana-Maria’s and Gabriela’s.
EDIT: Ana-Maria is slightly injured at the moment; if she doesn’t get better, that leaves a hole in vault (Ana-Maria is capable of a Yurchenko 2.0), floor exercise, and uneven bars. Cerasela would fill uneven bars, but then they’d not be able to replace Ana-Maria’s floor score or vault score, in which case they’d have to leave someone out (Dragoi? Grigore? Acatrinei?) and put Daniela Druncea in for vault and possibly floor…
I have never heard of Miss Acatrinei, but she’s reportedly very good on beam (like almost every other Romanian gymnast).
Stela and Sandra were no-brainers. I am surprised to see Grigore there, like I’ve said she has been notoriously inconsistent in the past. Ana-Maria was good and solid at Europeans. But please to not let Gabriela vault.
Daniela Druncea (my little dulcineea) is the alternate. Whyyyy?!
