When the Dust Settled

Random Thoughts to keep you entertained:

1. I can identify with Sam P. and her relationship with Alicia. When I was her age I practically worshiped some of my peers and would want to hang out with them ALL the time, like Sam does with Alicia. The main difference being that Alicia is a lot nicer than some of those girls I tried to hang out with.
2. A while ago I mentioned that I had a nightmare that almost made me into a Shawn-lover. Basically, in my nightmare, something bad happened to Shawn and she couldn’t compete (and I mean something really bad); I felt so terrible when I woke up that for several weeks I loved Shawn.
3. In the midst of all the mud-slinging and egg-tossing in the aftermath of the Trials, I notice that it’s poor Jana who’s got the most egg on her face…because she can’t point her toes and is built like a bulldozer, etc. If gymnasts had their own TV shows, Shawn would be Raymond and Jana would be Chris. (Get it?)
4. ALICIA PLEASE BE OKAY FOR BEIJING, USA NEEDS YOU.
5. I want Xiao Sha (and He Ning, and Zhang Nan) on the Chinese team; problem is, she’s considered a “headcase”. Whyyyy.
6. By the way, Zhang Nan looks beautiful in a Romanian leotard; cf. 2005 World Championships balance beam finals.
