I just realized how BLESSED I was in missing out on the NBC broadcast of Nationals, because that reduced my exposure to the Stupidity that is Tim and Elfi and Al. Dear NBC, PLS FIRE ELFI NOW KTHANXBAI.
But I did miss out on the fluffs. Crappy or not, I still like watching them. 
As for everything else that I did not cover in my previous entry, I think addicted2gym’s review correctly sums up how I feel (except we are different in the fact that I am not partial to Shayla Worley).
Other tidbits:
- LOL at Sam P. being an A-Sac fangirl.
- And I have heard Nastia say “y’all”. Yes I know she’s from Texas, but I still LOL’ed.
- Shawn has potential to be very hot. I hesitate to call her so now because it seems just like yesterday she was 14. I was all “OMG who’s that hot girl…oh, it’s Shawn” when I was watching the American Cup earlier this year. Mortifying.
- NBC, YOU AND YOUR VIDEO PLAYERS SUCK.
But I will still try to watch some more of Nationals on them.
Maybe it’s because I was doing like 6,000 things at the same time but I thought Elfi didn’t talk as much as usual… I’m still sick of people thinking Nastia is going to medal in the all-around but we all know that Nationals scores are inflated
samantha stop following gymnasts around. if you had an amanar, all the gymnast including alicia except shawn will be following you. so get that amanar will ya…ur trying to hard to be the popular one!!

Nastia has a lot of inconsistancies. She is one of the most beautiful gymnasts to watch and I love her gymnastics. However, looking back at Worlds, she showed her inconsistancy there – falling on the beam (one of her best events). She also had flaws in prelims and team finals. 2005, 2006, – though she won nationals, she won with falls! In the past few years, the only floor routine she hit without stepping out of bounds or falling was day 2 at recent nationals. With my like for her gymnastics aside, I think its clear that Nastia is not the most consistant competitor. Gymnasts like Shawn and Chelsie are known for their nerves of steel in competition, along with other gymnasts from several other nations. Nastia medaling in the all around is not a lock, she is going to have to prove that she can hit all four events when it counts.
I agree with JJ, Nastia is such a beautiful gymnast and one of my favorites. But like Khorkina she’s either going to be right up at the top or she’s going to make a big mistake and not factor in at all. I don’t think i’ve ever seen her go through a full meet and not make at least one error. It will be interesting to see what happens at the olympics.
