Other gymnasts listed by AOL as “Attractive” are 2000 Olympic balance beam champion Liu Xuan (CHN) and rhythmic gymnasts Alina Kabaeva (the formerly-rumored-to-be Mrs. Vladimir Putin) and Anna Bessonova (UKR), whose coach got banned.
But we can’t expect AOL to catch all the Attractive Olympian Gymnasts, so I’ve compiled a list of gymnasts they missed out on:
Andreea Răducan (ROU). Eight years ago she was the Sydney cutie-pie who got slapped with a penalty for taking cold medicine. Now she’s smokin’ hot and campaigns against doping.
Vanda Hadarean (ROU). Member of the 1992 Olympic team, she was overshadowed by Milo and Cristina Bontas. I don’t remember what she looked like then, but now she looks like a swimsuit model.
Lilia Podkopayeva (UKR). That is, when she’s not all gussied up…that dress she wore to the International Hall of Fame banquet looked like a skimpy animal-print nightgown.
Dominique Dawes (USA). In my mind, she’s the most attractive and classy-looking of the Magnificent 7.
Courtney Kupets (USA). If Sacramone is attractive then Kupets is attractive, damn it.
Mohini Bhardwaj (USA). See above.
Henrietta Ónodi (HUN). No idea what she looks like now, but she was pretty hot. Especially during the end of her 1991 West Side Story floor routine, when she got ’shot’ at the end. Sexy.
Lavinia Miloşovici (ROU). Well, I think she’s hot. For her age. The only times when she did not look cute/hot were in 1993 (when she had that God-awful haircut) and in the Japanese porn stuff. Ugh.
Alexandra Marinescu (ROU). Despite her lovely blue eyes, I didn’t think she was that pretty until very recently (check her Myspace for pictures). A Russian girl who used to live in my dormitory had Alexandra’s nose. It was like “OMG THAT’S MARINESCU’S NOSE!!”
Cătălina Ponor (ROU). I actually don’t find her attractive, but so many others do, so it would be amiss not to put her here.
Kate Richardson (CAN). Especially during her floor routine at the 2004 Olympics.
Annia Hatch (USA). She’s pretty attractive, or at the least, has good taste in apparel.
Emilie LePennec (FRA). Whenever she wasn’t wearing a butt-ugly leotard, which French gymnasts so often do.
Stefani Bismpikou (GRE). She’s got that Greek beauty thing going on, you know…

Raducan indeed, is smoking! I saw Lilia’s stint in Dancing with the Stars in You Tube and she looked very beautiful and feminine. Ponor probably is leaning more on the sexy side, I guess.
Weird, but I actually find Mo Huilan and Simona Amanar so cute in Atlanta.
Oh, Dina Kochetkova is beautiful as well. She has a very feline look.

Alicia Sacramone looks like a dog. Never mind her stubby physique; Her facial bone structure and features are so masculine. She’s a good gymnast, but she just has this…rough presence. If anyone were to be tested for banned substances, it should be her. I know you don’t have much to choose from in the gymnastics world, but, goodness!! WOOF. Samantha Peszek looks a million times better than her, especially when she’s not doing the overstretched goofy grin.
Podkopayeva and Dawes are spot on, as well as Andreea Raducan and Marinescu. They certainly did blossom into beauties.
Joura is very pretty, as well as Hatch and Hadarean. Xuan, definitely.

Despite her injuries,she would have carried USA
to the Gold Medal in Beijing,China.
As far as I know,she’s still looking forward to London 2012..and beyond that? who knows,time will tell won’t it?
