Chellsie, and He Kexin, and bars
March 4, 2008 by northernriver
For those of you wondering why Chellsie isn’t going to Italy–word is on the street that she’s going to Pacific Alliance.
The Doha World Cup event began just today (yesterday?)– and He Kexin (CHN), the princess of crazy uneven bars releases, recieved a 7.4 A-score (16.45 total!) in qualifications…I guess Nastia and Ksenia Semyonova better watch out!
Many fans are calling for He Kexin to be on the Chinese Olympic team, which probably means she’ll be replacing one of the girls who were on the Worlds team. Others might dispute the fairness of that, because Miss He’s birth year has been shuffled quite a bit. Heh.
Anyway, if the He Kexin fans get their wish, then China may just have a formidable bars lineup in team finals at least; Jiang Yuyuan could easily score the same, if not more, than Shawn Johnson–and then there’s likely going to be Nastia (and Shayla?) vs. He and Yang Yilin–that’s something very interesting to think about. Unless Chellsie brings her bars back up to full difficulty…
What do you think? Do you think He Kexin should be on the team, and who would she replace? (I’d be heartbroken if any of the Stuttgart girls got replaced, doesn’t matter who it was.)
