The USA has a gaping dearth in uneven bars, even though Nastia is one of the best bars workers in the world. Uneven bars was one of the events the USA could pack all the points in, and it still is, given the more generous scoring (as it appears to me).

The Kupets Comeback ends here. (For now.)

Cheng Fei won the balance beam event finals at the Test Event. (What?!) Unfortunately for her, this just might be the only time she gets first place on balance beam. Not when some of her own teammates are better than her at it (i.e., Li Shanshan).
