New stuff on Courtney Kupets…according to the latest, Courtney is cranking up the difficulty on balance beam.
UGA coach Suzanne Yoculan talks about the two Courtneys…and other people
Why is Kupets training a Patterson (double arabian)? The very same dismount that Yulia Lozhecko (RUS) screwed up at Stuttgart and it got her in trouble? It is clear to all that the Patterson is a move only executed thus far in elite competition, and it’s blatantly obvious that Kupets doesn’t need it to win the NCAA championships–she’s been doing that her entire college career without it. What is that girl playing at, do you suppose?
By the way, I didn’t know Courtney McCool had a mount named after her.
Yeah, that’s right, the McCool is that handspring thing that she did at the Olympics. I had hoped never to see it again, but after watching nationals I got to see Ivana Hong use the same mount. It is really a shame ’cause I like Ivana’s routines other than this mount and the McCool like floor routine. Nothing against McCool, it just seems a little copy cat even if Courtney is Ivana’s idol. =)
Mmmm…..maybe she’s planning on making a sneak attack and showing up for the Olympic trials…kicking some little girl butt…thumbing her nose at the other Mrs. (Karolyi) by having missed all the (concentration) camps…and flouncing into the Olympics. Now, wouldn’t that be juicy!!!
